About this site

For six years, the Internet Nexus served as my technology blog, but I've since started blogging at the SuperSite Blog instead. If you're looking for the blog, please head there. --Paul

Books, books, and more books Since finishing command line for the third or fourth time, I've been slogging through a few different titles a bit at a time. I got an el-cheapo copy of John Douglas' Anatomy of Motive, a non-fiction piece from the FBI's original profiler, and I've been struggling with King and Straub's original Talisman, as noted previously, which I just can't get into much these days. I also read Gene Steinberg's horrible suck-up, Mac OS X Little Black Book (this guy should never be allowed to write a book again: This thing didn't answer a single question I had), and re-read Davig Pogue's decent iMovie 2, the Missing Manual. I can't stand Pogue: He writes Windows books (where the money is), but trashes Windows in his Mac books, which he obviously thinks is cute. But he's not honest with his Mac fans, and I don't like that. On tap: Stephen Ambrose's Band of Brothers and Neil Stephenson's Big U. Oh, and about 13 magazines.
