About this site

For six years, the Internet Nexus served as my technology blog, but I've since started blogging at the SuperSite Blog instead. If you're looking for the blog, please head there. --Paul

Regarding Debian Linux I feel that using Debian would be The Right Thing but the simple truth of the matter is this: The development of this OS occurs at a glacial pace and they are just too far behind right now to be taken seriously anymore. Furthermore, Debian will not install on a machine like the Dell L400 (which can only have a floppy or CD-ROM drive installed, and not both simultaneously) without some seriously partitioning and prep work. In other words, you can't just boot the Debian CD and install Linux on a machine without having a floppy drive, it just doesn't work. It's frustrating to think how much time I wasted on that.
