If you're looking for the blog, please head there. --Paul Friday, December 27, 2002Triumph of the Nerds ... a triageI got Triumph of the Nerds on DVD for Christmas and started watching it tonight. It's a real blast from the past, and much of it is quite good. But then, just 6 minutes into it, there's the untalented Christine Comaford. I remember hating her for some inexplicable reason the first time I saw Nerds, and the old feelings are still very much there. Maybe it's her childish, Martha Quinn-like emoting, her gee-whizz "I was there at the beginning" hogwash (she wasn't), or the constant name dropping ("so then I told Bill..") but there's just something about that woman.... so I looked her up. And two things came out of just ten minutes of research: a) Despite getting way too much screen time in Nerds, she's a has-been now (thank God), and b) she's part of a cult.
