About this siteFor six years, the Internet Nexus served as my technology blog, but I've since started blogging at the SuperSite Blog instead. If you're looking for the blog, please head there. --Paul Tuesday, April 29, 2003Apple's market shareI was the first to report that Apple's market share in the first quarter 2003 was barely above 2 percent ("the company accounted for just 2.05 percent of PC shipments [in the quarter]"), and this report from the Boston Globe today confirms that figure using IDC numbers. "Apple shipped only 1.9 percent of all computers in the fourth quarter of 2002, an all-time low, before improving to 2.1 percent in the first quarter, according to International Data Corp., a Framingham-based market research firm. For all of 2002, Apple sold just 2.3 percent of personal computers purchased worldwide, said IDC." [ Posted at 9:31 PM | Permalink ]
