About this siteFor six years, the Internet Nexus served as my technology blog, but I've since started blogging at the SuperSite Blog instead. The decision makers at Mozilla.org have apparently grasped what I've been saying for years--that its integrated browser suite, while technically excellent, is bloated, slow and needlessly monolithic. Seizing on the success of the Phoenix and Minotaur projects, which separate the Mozilla browser and Mail & News application into standalone programs, respectively, Mozilla.org will move its suite to a set of standalone apps by version 1.6. The changeover will occur during the development of versions 1.4 and 1.5, both of which are due this year. Bravo, I say. [ Posted at 11:24 AM | Permalink ]
