About this siteFor six years, the Internet Nexus served as my technology blog, but I've since started blogging at the SuperSite Blog instead. If you're looking for the blog, please head there. --Paul Monday, June 16, 2003Apple reiterates iTunes for Windows release by end of yearIn this MacWorld UK interview, Apple director of marketing consumer applications Peter Lowe discusses iTunes for Windows and a few other interesting tidbits. The Windows iTunes version will be out by the end of the year, he says, or about six months later than it should be completed, in my opinion. The new iPods are selling well (26,000 units) in their first week of availability; it'd be interested to see how many of those sales were previous iPod users however. Lowe's most interesting comment, however was about future drivers for tech innovation. "In future the real sea-changes in our industry will be driven by things that truly empower users, rather than tech-fads," he said. I assume by tech-fads, he means colored plastic.
