About this siteFor six years, the Internet Nexus served as my technology blog, but I've since started blogging at the SuperSite Blog instead. If you're looking for the blog, please head there. --Paul Friday, April 04, 2003Minasi on Linux vs. WindowsGood friend Mark Minasi provides some good laughs and excellent points in this funny interview in which he compares Linux and Windows. Thursday, April 03, 2003Mozilla.org launches massive reorganization of MozillaAnd it's about time. The decision makers at Mozilla.org have apparently grasped what I've been saying for years--that its integrated browser suite, while technically excellent, is bloated, slow and needlessly monolithic. Seizing on the success of the Phoenix and Minotaur projects, which separate the Mozilla browser and Mail & News application into standalone programs, respectively, Mozilla.org will move its suite to a set of standalone apps by version 1.6. The changeover will occur during the development of versions 1.4 and 1.5, both of which are due this year. Bravo, I say. [ Posted at 11:24 AM | Permalink ] Technical overview to Red Hat 9 Most Linux reviews are pure fluff--here's what the install looked like, here's what it includes out of the box, here's how I had to edit 3 million text files to get wireless working, etc.--but this review of Red Hat 9 is awesome in its technical depth. Check it out if you're looking for a good, low-level look at what's new. [ Posted at 11:21 AM | Permalink ]

Monday, March 31, 2003First Minotaur build available!I just downloaded it, but you can get the first publicly available build of Minotaur here. So far so good, and it's exactly the way Mozilla should have been from the beginning: Separate apps, not one big bloated app. [ Posted at 12:17 PM | Permalink ]
