About this siteFor six years, the Internet Nexus served as my technology blog, but I've since started blogging at the SuperSite Blog instead. If you're looking for the blog, please head there. --Paul Thursday, September 04, 2003Thunderbird hits 0.2The Mozilla standalone email client, Thunderbird, hit the 0.2 milestone this week. I use Thunderbird fairly regularly right now, and almost exclusively when I'm on the road, and even at this early stage it works very well. Version 0.2 features a smaller code footprint and better performance (The download file size for Windows has been reduced by 1.5MB and is substantially faster than 0.1), a nicer default theme, new icons for the options dialog, improvements to the icons for both the mail and compose toolbars, new taskbar icons for Windows and dock icons for Mac OS X, an improved spell checker, a redesigned Options dialog, and improved customization features. Grab it on mozilla.org. [ Posted at 10:11 AM | Permalink ]
Monday, September 01, 2003BS or not? Apple reportedly developing Intel-based OSA bizarre story in Smart House claims that Apple will unveil an Intel-based OS in January and phase out development of the over-hyped IBM-based systems the company is now rolling out (behind schedule). Is it true? Absolutely no way. But what's really odd is the article quotes an unnamed Apple representative as well. Very strange. [ Posted at 2:47 PM | Permalink ]
