Wednesday, March 03, 2004Even the co-creator of Apple's Finder agrees with meMacMinute: "And, in a view that will shock Mac fans, Steve Capps, co-designer of the Finder and much of the Mac's graphical user interface (as well as one of the folks behind the Newton OS), feels that Microsoft has done more to advance the desktop than Apple over the past 20 years. 'Granted they started from Windows 1.0, but still -- the Start Menu, the Taskbar, integration with the browser, intelligent assistance, the right-button context menu -- all of these are great things for the user, but Microsoft always get branded a copy cat,' Capps says.
