About this siteFor six years, the Internet Nexus served as my technology blog, but I've since started blogging at the SuperSite Blog instead. If you're looking for the blog, please head there. --Paul Monday, June 26, 2006Apple Executives to Preview Mac OS X “Leopard” at WWDC 2006 KeynoteApple PR:Apple today announced that CEO Steve Jobs will headline a team of Apple executives, including Philip Schiller, senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing; Bertrand Serlet, senior vice president of Software Engineering; and Scott Forstall, vice president of Platform Experience, to kick off the company’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) with a keynote preview of Mac OS X "Leopard" on Monday, August 7, 2006, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at San Francisco’s Moscone West. Throughout WWDC, developers will receive detailed information and best practices on developing Universal applications that take advantage of the performance of Intel-based Macs, including special sessions on performance optimization using Apple software development tools. Not sure why this required a press release, as we already knew this was on tap, but like many people I'm really curious to see what they have planned. I assume Leopard will be quite a bit more exciting than Tiger, if only to deflect pressure from Windows Vista. On the other hand, I also expect Leopard to ship at least three to six months after Vista. [ Posted at 10:46 AM | Permalink ]
