Alot has changed in two and a half years. As this is written, Internet Explorer 5.0 is four months old and Netscape is quickly becoming more and more irrelevent. VBScript is up to version 5.0, and this new version offers far more features and capabilities than the one I was stuck with for the book.

Given the overwhelming market penetration of Internet Explorer 5.0, it doesn't make sense for this site to target anything less. So the examples on this Web page have been updated and verified with the latest version of IE in mind. For this reason, they may not function properly on IE 4.x, or more probably, on IE 3.x. On the other hand, these programs don't take advantage of any IE 5.0 features per se, so compatibility probably isn't a huge concern.
